Keep Learning Every Year
Complete up to two subsidised Ride Forever courses each year to continue building your skills. Gold courses can be done once a year.

Small group sizes allow instructors to tailor coaching to each rider’s skills and experience, helping riders progress at their own pace.

BUILD A STRONG RIDING FOUNDATION
BRONZE
Learners Licence or above

The Bronze course is ideal for learner riders looking to build confidence, improve their roadcraft, and prepare for their CBTA Restricted assessment. There’s no waiting period after getting your learner licence — take the course when you’re ready to develop your skills, receive expert feedback, and ensure you’re riding with confidence before your assessment. It’s also a great refresher for riders returning after a break.
Before attending
The Bronze course is designed for riders who are comfortable riding on urban roads and open roads up to 100km/h. You’ll need a motorcycle capable of highway riding and the confidence to handle a range of road environments.

INTERMEDIATE OPEN-ROAD RIDING SKILLS

This course is designed for riders looking to refine their open-road skills and take their riding to the next level. Building on the foundations of Bronze, it focuses on advanced vision techniques, including vanishing points, reference points, and smooth visual flow through corners. Whether you’re an experienced rider or returning after a break, Silver provides the skills needed to continue progressing towards Gold.
Before attending
This full-day course includes plenty of open-road riding and cornering practice, with speeds of up to 100km/h. You’ll need to feel confident riding at open-road speeds and have a motorcycle capable of handling these conditions.

ADVANCED COACHING FOR EXPERIENCED RIDERS

The Gold course is designed for experienced riders who hold a Full motorcycle licence and want to further refine their skills. Building on the foundations developed in Silver, this advanced course focuses on improving braking, slow-speed control, cornering technique, and hazard management. You’ll gain a deeper understanding of how to ride smoothly, confidently, and safely in a range of conditions.

Gold courses include open highways and challenging back roads, with riders covering 100km+ throughout the day.

Motorbike Skills

The Motorbike Skills course is a four-hour course designed for riders looking to build confidence and develop essential skills for riding in everyday traffic. Ideal for riders who have recently completed their BHST, are new to motorcycling, or want extra guidance, the course focuses on building a strong foundation for safe and enjoyable riding on urban roads and local streets up to 50km/h.

You must be able to confidently control your machine and feel comfortable riding in some traffic.
BUILD YOUR SCOOTER SKILLS
Scooter Skills
Car Learners Licence (or 6L if over 50cc)

The Scooter Skills course is a practical four-hour course designed specifically for scooter riders. Similar to the Motorbike Skills course, it focuses on building confidence, improving control, and developing safer riding habits in urban traffic. You’ll ride alongside other scooter riders, ranging from 50cc scooters on a driver licence to larger scooters ridden by Class 6 learner licence holders.

You must be able to confidently control your machine and feel comfortable riding in some traffic.

SET YOURSELF UP FOR SUCCESS
GETTING READY FOR YOUR COURSE
Arrive early — every course begins with an important rider briefing and classroom session.
Start the day with a full tank of fuel.
Ensure your motorcycle has a current warrant of fitness, registration, and is safe and roadworthy.
Complete a pre-ride check to make sure your bike is in good working order.
Learner and Restricted riders must use LAMS-approved motorcycles. Learner licence holders must display an L-plate.
Courses can fill quickly, so book ahead and allow some flexibility when choosing your date.
