Cancellation Policy

Absolute Motorcycle Training Ltd – Cancellation & Refund Policy

At Absolute Motorcycle Training Ltd., we strive to provide the highest quality instruction and testing services. To manage our schedule and ensure all riders have the opportunity to book, we operate under the following policy in accordance with the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act (CGA) and Fair Trading Act (FTA).

 

1. CUSTOMER CANCELLATIONS & RESCHEDULING

If you need to change your booking, please notify us as soon as possible. The following terms apply to all service bookings:

  • More than 48 hours’ notice: You may reschedule your booking at no extra cost or receive a full refund of any prepayments.

  • 24 to 48 hours’ notice: A cancellation fee of 25% of the total service fee applies. The remaining balance will be refunded or held as a credit.

  • Less than 24 hours’ notice (or No-Show): The full service fee is non-refundable. This reflects our inability to fill the training slot at short notice and the fixed costs already incurred.

 

2. CANCELLATIONS BY THE PROVIDER

Motorcycling is subject to environmental factors. If we must cancel a session due to extreme weather, instructor illness, or unforeseen safety concerns:

  • You will be offered a choice between a full refund or priority rescheduling.

  • Absolute Motorcycle Training Ltd. is not liable for any consequential losses (e.g., travel or accommodation costs), though we will provide as much notice as possible.

 

3. CONSUMER RIGHTS (NZ LAW)

Nothing in this policy limits your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993. If a service is not provided with reasonable care and skill, you are entitled to a remedy regardless of this policy. Please note that NZ law does not require businesses to provide a refund for a 'change of mind'; however, we offer the 48-hour window above as a gesture of fair play.

 

4. EXCEPTIONAL CIRCUMSTANCES

We recognize that emergencies happen. In cases of genuine medical emergencies or sudden government-mandated restrictions, please contact us directly. We will review these on a case-by-case basis to provide a fair outcome, such as a training credit.

How to Cancel or Reschedule:


Please contact us via our website booking portal, email, or phone. Your cancellation is only confirmed once you have received an acknowledgment from us.
