AUCKLAND BIKE NIGHT

PRACTISE SLOW SPEED SKILLS AT AUCKLAND BIKE NIGHT

Auckland Bike Night is a free community event, held every second Wednesday at Westfield Albany. It is designed to provide a designated, safe space for riders, from beginners to those more experienced, to practice their slow speed skills. A range of courses are set up for riders to practise, with a team of experienced riders (Bike Night Organisers) on hand to offer assistance and advice.

Free theory test questions

If you're going to be applying for your learner's licence, the Driving Tests NZ website is a great resource. It offers you the chance to practise answering a range of questions from the NZ Road Code in preparation for your theory test.

Riding gear safety ratings

Supported by governments across New Zealand and Australia, MotoCAP tests motorcycle gear and provides riders with ratings so that they can choose the best gear for them and their ride.

Selecting the right helmet

SHARP provides guidance on how to select a helmet that fits correctly and is comfortable. They also offer information about the relative safety of various helmets to help riders make informed choices.

ACC subsidised training

The Bronze Ride Forever course is for riders with a learners licence or a restricted licence. It focuses specifically on Competency Based Training & Assessment (CBTA) competencies, and helps riders to pass the Class 6 CBTA restricted licence assessment.
